If your kids are anything like mine, they go through clothes like nobody's business. Who gave them the permission to grow that fast, anyway?  I'm always bagging up their old clothes and hoping to give them away quickly, just to make some more room in our closets.  And when it comes to toys, I really like to instill generosity and kindness in my two littles.  It's important to me that they learn about giving.  Every so often we like to box up our not-so-loved anymore toys and donate them to some kids who really need them and would love them again!  The problem is always finding a place to take the items, where they'll wind up in the right little hands.
