Chicken Soup Shaping The New You: Review & Giveaway

The Chicken Soup for the Soul series is one I was introduced to quite young, when their first few books were published.  I remember reading the "Teen" book and loving it in junior high, and to this day I still find these books a joy to read!  They can be inspiring when you need inspiration the most and uplifting during the most difficult of times.

Recently, I was given the opportunity to review Chicken Soup for the Soul, Shaping The New You.  What a perfect book for the new year!  So many of us have resolutions to get in shape, or make some big changes in our lives and don't know where to start.  It helps knowing that you're not alone.  Reading these short, inspirational stories by people just like you and me can make all the difference.  I found myself devouring every word and particularly enjoying the sweet, short quotes at the beginning of each story.

What about you?  Are you working on a New Years resolution this February and struggling to find the motivation to keep going?  Well, then I guess your in luck.  I'm giving away a copy of Chicken Soup for the Soul and YOU could win!  All you have to do is follow the mandatory entry.  Open to the US and Canada, contest closes on February 14th, 2011.

  6. My New Years resolution was to do some form of exercise 30 minutes a day. I decided to start with walking because I am out of shape. It is going ok, but some days my feet and calves hurt so much it feels like little knives are stabbing them. I can see why people give up. Every few days, it gets a bit easier though. :)

  10. Tell me one New Years resolution you have, and whether or not you've been keeping it!

Mine was to keep on going through closets, drawers, trunks etc. and downsizing by giving items away to charity, giving to thrift shops, giving to friends/family etc. Just get rid of things I haven't every used and thought I needed them or things that were still in good shape and haven't used for some time or didn't even remember I had them.
DOWNSIZE is the name of the game and I have been
    keeping on doing this.

  16. First time I have made a NY resolution! Never believed in them before, they are certainly difficult to keep up, especially since they are usually a habit you wish to break, or one to start. I am working hard on my NY resolution of eating a healthy breakfast daily (instead of skipping to lose weight), but have the walking 30 minutes daily down pat!
Thank you for this CSFTS giveaway.
