@InGenuitybaby by Bright Starts Washable Play Yard: #Review

As a family who's constantly on the go, we're always looking for solutions to keep our kids comfortable and happy while on overnights away from home. Our little guy is only 13 months old, so he still sleeps in a crib.  When we're out, we tend to use a playard.  The one issue we have, especially after camping and long road trips, is cleaning the playard afterward.  It's such a hassle!  I never feel like I can get it as clean as I'd like to.

I was given the opportunity to review the InGenuity Washable Playard by Bright Starts.  It's the first ever washable playard, and it's fantastic! Here's some information about the product:

  • The first innovative playard with completely removable machine washable fabrics which include: top rail cover, playard floor, side walls, changing table cover & mattress.
  • One Less Step:™ Quickly fold and go without removing bassinet
  • Just Right Height: Elevated changing table easily pivots out of the way
  • Toy bar with two plush toys
  • Handy removable organizer tray

This is one fancy pants playard!  I love the fact that it's washable.  We haven't been on any trips lately, but I did set it up in my living room and leave it there for a while to get a good feel for how it functions.  A few times, I put my son in while I had to leave the room to throw some laundry in the wash, etc.  At one point, the little man had just finished snacking and I had to run and answer the door.  I put him in the playard with jam hands!  Eek!  Thankfully, it's a cinch to remove the dirty sections and just throw them in the wash, then easily zip them back on.  LOVE that!    For a newborn, this is an ideal product.  You get the beautiful look of the more modern playards, the bassinet and the super convenient change table.  I really appreciate that these newer models are coming with change tables and storage.  It sure makes things easy when you're away from home, away from your usual routine and your organized baby's room.  I hate fumbling through bags looking for diapering supplies, so being able to stack your items right there within reach is such a nice feature.  It also has a lovely music box for calming baby, and some pretty toys to look at.  Wish I'd had one of these when my son was first born!  As it stands, this playard is staying in the family.  We'll be using it when we head out of town for now, and any future little ones (ie. nieces and nephews!) will have the privilege of enjoying all its benefits also.  :)
