Good Things To Come

It's hard to believe the summer is almost over. I've been so busy the past few weeks, I hardly feel like I've had time to breathe let alone enjoy the end of my favorite season! I'm all set for the Fall, though. I've got my daycare filled up and will be opening doors to a small group of munchkins in mid-September. Interviews took up almost 2 full weeks of my time, by the time I had each family scheduled in, and got the house, yard, and play area all ready to go. That was not without its challenges - broken lawn mower, etc. Also, my brother got married last weekend! We went out to the lake last Friday morning and were home Sunday night. D and I were both part of the wedding party, so we had lots to do. (Not to mention the fact that the ceremony and reception were held at my family cottage, so DH and and I had obligations there too - to help out with prep and clean up!) The entire thing went off without a hitch, aside from some minor challenges with the weather! Here's a pic of D in her gorgeous dress:



By this time, she was pretty overwhelmed and tired! Thankfully, we were able to put her to bed surprisingly easily, and early(!) and had the chance to party the night away with my brother and sister in law, and all of our friends. DH and I actually felt like we were on a "date" since we rarely have the chance to just unwind sans toddler. It was an amazing night. :)

I'm pushing 30 and it's been a long time since I've been in school, but I still consider September a fresh start of sorts... So having said that, here's to the end of another great Summer, to a fabulous life for my little brother and his new wife, and an awesome year to come!
