On Saturday, May 31st SKECHERS teamed up with Quarks and CanU to provide 3,000 pairs of new BOBS from SKECHERS shoes to children in need in the Winnipeg area. Since the BOBS from SKECHERS program launched in 2011, SKECHERS has donated more than eight million pairs of new shoes to
children in need. Partnering with Head Start programs, education
foundations, homeless shelters and 501(c)(3) organizations, SKECHERS assists children and families in communities across the United States and around the world.
In addition to receiving new shoes at the Winnipeg event, children and parents were able to enjoy a
day of shoe decorating, complimentary snacks provided by Pizza Hotline
and Costco Wholesale, plus visits from the Winnipeg Blue Bombers
cheerleaders and team mascots including Mick E. Moose from the Winnipeg
Jets as well as Goldie from the Winnipeg Goldeyes.
Here are some pics of this super neat Winnipeg event!
What an amazing day! It's always wonderful to see brands supporting communities and helping out, especially when it comes to kids in need. And it sure looks like those kids were having a blast! Unfortunately, my kids and I were not able to attend as we had family engagements that day. However, it looks like it was an fantastic time and I am sorry we missed out.
We were able to review a few pairs of BOBS & SKECHERS shoes ourselves. Both kids are absolutely thrilled with their new shoes. The Handsome Mister has been stomping around all day long, watching his feet light up in his new Skechers sandals. And the Little Miss is a fashion diva in her fancy pants new BOBS glitter shoes. I plan to wear my BOBS all over NYC in just a couple of weeks! With memory foam insoles, they are like walking on clouds. Can't go wrong with that!
